Does anyone know if the rear bumper covers on the ranger raptor need to be painted when replacing the part?
Long story short, there was a dent in the rear bumper cover that I somehow missed before proceeding with the purchase of my ranger raptor. Dealer pointed it out as soon as I was walking out, after signing the papers. They said they will take care of it, which is fine.
My issue is the truck has been with them for several days now and they're saying they're waiting for the body shop to paint match the part. This part looks to me to be a standard color across all colors. I'm concerned they're repairing the dent and re-painting the part rather than replacing with a brand new part.
From what I can tell, this is the part number: N1WZ-17906-RH
I asked them what part number they will be replacing it with, and they gave me this, which looks to be a cover for an f250 super duty: PC3Z-17757-EA
I'm going to ask them for the old part back and fully expect them to not be able to produce it and not sure how to best handle this situation.
