Removal of Under Seat Storage Bins

Has anyone removed the bins under the rear seat? If so, is it hard to do in a manner that they can go back in security?
I'm wanting to make some modifications to them to allow for secure storage in them but don't want to destroy them trying to get them out.

They come out pretty easily. I took them both out while installing my amp and sub. If I remember right, they're held in with just a few of those plastic rivet things and maybe one bolt each (toward the middle seat side). I used one as a mold for the fiberglass box I made for my subwoofer. Easy, fun project. I'd like to see what you end up doing for your secure storage.

I agree above, just consider that the plastic pin clips have thin heads so pulling them up carefully minimizes them deforming
