Will 26 bed and tailgate caps fit as a direct replacement on a 2025?
What makes the 2026 bed rail caps better? Read thru this thread but not really picking up on the advantage. Pics online didn't help either. Are you trying to make them solid?

Without testing or having them in hand I couldn't say exactly, but based of the photos available they look to be a more sturdy design than previous, when clamping force is applied downwards on the older design it collapses and bows and ripples at base of trim, basically distorts where it meets sides of body and of course the top. This clamping force as I've applied it is not extreme but it's a function of using multiple bolts to secure structures such as racks or similar to bed rails/caps. Of course the bed rails themselves tend to want to bend noticably up or down if angled(oblique?) force is applied because of the thin sheet metal and lack of gussets at the 90degree bend or body bed rails. Being that the newer ones are thinner perhaps there is less open voids to collapse to such a degree

Now are truck bed rails and caps supposed to withstand reasonable weight/clamping forces and how much is reasonable. 40-200lbs weight and whatever psi of force to clamp very securely such a weight properly seems reasonable perhaps
