I still have the factory running boards on my lariat and am thinkingof removingthem. Anyone decide to remove them? I do have the front mud guards. Any inputs? Pro's & Cons of removing them?

The running boards are good for stopping car doors from hitting the side of the truck.
In a parking lot.

There was a thread, not too long ago, about a Raptor owner that removed their boards and started experiencing significant rock chip damage. Might want to look for that and see if it's a concern to you. GL whatever you do!

If you remove them would you be interested in selling?

I had them on my previous Ranger, and my wife misses them. Plus it makes it easier to lead up or newborn in the car seat.

I removed mine, it's easy. I removed all the bolts but i think you can just loosen them and slide the boards off if you look at how they are attached.

The raptors did benefit from those running boards blocking flying rocks, but the non-raptors don't really have that same problem. Our tires aren't as aggressive and don't fling many rocks and I think our wheels aren't offset outwards as much as the raptors so everything gets blocked by the wheel-well/mudflaps. I personally haven't seen any rock-chipping and mine have been off for a few months now.

Took mine off the day after I bought mine and agree with this.

Also willing to sell mine if you're interested.

I think there has been several of us Raptor owners remove ours. Myself included.
I did add the Ford Rocker protection along with some black vinyl as well as clear PPF to the belly of mine to protect from rock damage. I also have the factory mud guards.
