My aircon is on at all times the car is on. Does anyone know how I can fix the stale aircon issue on the next gen?
On my 4G Ranger? (T6) I had to take it to Ford and leave it there for an entire day for them to unblock an evaporator drain.
That's what they told me.

It is apparently above the gearbox in the T6 in a hard to reach place.. I couldn't find it.

Where would it be on the Next Gen as I can't afford the down time of leaving it with my local Ford services center right now?
It must be something easy to do as long as I know where the drain is located.

Pictures are just for attention and to show you my beaut! Its going to look very different very soon! Can't wait!

Could be getting musty if you only do recirculation. Try switching to outside air the last bit of your drives.

I do actually run it mostly if not always on recirculation. I changed the cabin air filter yesterday and it seems to have improved / is going away. Not sure why/how the filter would cause it because the filter itself did not smell.

Same in my car. I'm willing to bet it's the evap coil and housing that's getting funky. Your AC isn't staying climate controlled when you're done for the day. It's cold and still condensing moisture, but doen't have any air blowing over it. All the outside heat and humidity is slowly creeping in the car and that's growing a mildew on the coils.

Experiment - leave the fan on but turn off the AC and recirc a couple minutes before you get home for the day. That'll give the system time to dry off and warm back up. May also want to run a bit of heat during that time. I bet after a few days you'll notice the smell going away.
