Stiff steering in cold weather temperatures

I know this topic was in another thread, but I cannot find it.

Perhaps some of my Canadian brethren can speak to this subject. Does anyone else experience a stiff steering wheel when it drops below -15c? No error codes are displayed but holy crap is this annoying.

A little bit just let it warm up a bit more.

It's -25C as I type this. My steering stiffens up a bit , as does my transmission, my differentials, my seat bottom and my knees. Everything reverts back to normal as things warm up.

Roger that. I have had a number of issues with this truck not working properly. I just wanted to see if this was another.

The Ford rep said it shouldn't do that as the Ranger has electronic power steering.

It does but the rack still has a bit of fluid in it.

I was wondering if anyone else's was a bit stiff. My wheel doesn't return to center by itself for example making a 90 degree turn from a stop, I have to turn it to center, unlike other vehicles with less stiff steering.

Yep. Very annoying. I have not seen it addressed by Ford. My last Ranger was worse than current, not sure what the difference is.
