I did post in several places the the information around is very convoluted with many contracting information online!


So no such thing? lots of conflicting information, for sure!
Did think about deleting the stuff that is almost certainly wrong, but to keep the later post even more confusion. Went back and added Notes; right in the first heading of the post.

Yes articles like this were written at the end of 2024 and were all conjecture. I guess to get clicks.

Yes, it is confusing but that is how the internet is,

Ford pulled a fast one and called sync 5 the ford digital experience. At some point vehicles will change from sync4 to the ford digital experience.

I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing. As motor companies are moving to a subscription service for enabling fancy features, like hands free driving, etc.

There was an article about GM thinking they might make more money off subscriptions than building cars.

After asking some Friends over at Dearborn Truck plant as noted.
Sync 5 for some time or incorrectly was just considered the next generation.
When in fact it is a complete change to Ford Digital Experience.
Some models have already had it for some time along with some Lincolns.
One of the things they pointed out is that it supports wide glass dashes that are starting to be more common.

Gotta say I like that dash, nice clean sweeps and straight lines, can't afford it but I like it.
