Trying to find a combination of Tonneau Cover and Rack per the following requirements.

- Rack to carry 15' Kayaks, therefore needs to clear cabin roof
- Rack to carry a ski box or bikes, so being adjustable down/up is very helpful
- It would be nice if you could remove the rack with minimal fuss
- Tonneau cover, primary need is to be weather tight. Security is secondary and I don't need it to carry weight

It seems that the RetraxPRO XR supports T-slots and works well with the Yakima OverHaul HD Rack. I like the Yakima OverHaul racks per strength and adjustability. Only concern I have is the weather tight nature of the rolling Retrax cover and losing 1' foot of bed space. MontainTop has T-slots but not sure of Rack compatibility, and same concerns as Retrax per weather.

Has anyone seen a roll-up cover that is weather tight and support t-slots? By weather tight, I'd prefer water to roll off vs drain down (freezing temps is also an issue)

I've been debating this topic more while waiting on the truck to arrive.

I'm keen on the Yakima OverHaul HD Rack and prefer a roll-up cover, but see photo below (borrowed from a Jeep forum) as I suspect the two are not compatible. At a min the cover might only roll up in front of the rack versus behind. Therefore I may need to run with a retractable cover, but being pretty weather proof is my concern there.

Also.....does anyone know the dimension of bed to cabin roof, so one could figure out which rack height would work best for there needs? I found this guide in this post but it seems to not have this dimension.

Ask these guys. It's a truck accessories place somewhere in Florida. They do videos on tonneau covers that list the pros and the cons.

I don't know much about this company other than I saw their website. It might be an option for you. www.peragon.com

One negative I can see is not being able to fold it with anything tall in the bed towards the front. But it would clear any rack system.

I bet that looks slick. And would last = aluminum. Can you imagine what hail would do to it though?

I’ve had a peragon cover on my dakota for 10 years. It has been great. No idea about interfacing one with a rack though.
