So, forgive me Canadian friend, but it begs a question - you say: " Everything in this review is my own opinion. Results and opinions may vary by user. ". Yet, it says at the bottom of your very nice review that this piece is sponsored..?

So, could you tell us which is it? Are you representing the manufacturer in any way? Or is it a personal review? I'm just trying to understand the context, noy defending Ford in any way...

Thank you.

Everything in the review is my own opinion and the review was NOT sponsored by Trumgeta. I paid for the bed extender and my review is my own opinion based on my own experience. I had no issues with my installation. The template worked great, but I actually placed my bed extender in place and looked at where the brackets would be mounted, just to ensure I accounted for the added height of my one-inch T-mats in my truck bed and to make sure I was drilling holes in the correct place.

As for the self tapping screws, I followed the instructions and predrilled using the template and double sided tape and the screws tapped in perfectly in my truck bed. Could they be better, sure. I think many things these days come with low quality screws or bolts. I guess if you wanted higher quality you could simply add them, but my screws have held up just fine so far. If they fail, I will simply remount with one-step thicker, better screws.

I do appreciate that somebody has designed an adapter to fit the threaded screw holes, as I noted that would be ideal and there would be little question about fit if you had a pre-drilled metal plate ready for the threaded bolts and with holes for the three screws on the bracket.

If the Trumgeta was shit, I would have said so. I have nothing to gain by lying. My experience was good and everything fit and I use this thing frequently on my work truck and it has served its purpose, very well.
