Hey yall. Just looking for some clarification in my situation. I ordered a 2024 Ranger Raptor on 5/29/2023. I was (and still am) the only raptor order at my dealership. There was a Lariat ordered the friday proceeding my order. Now, that lariat order has a build date, it has since January. So my confusion comes because after an apparent 9 months of waiting I still do not have a VIN, I still do not have a build date, I am still tracking as Unscheduled - Clean. I understand there was an extreme delay due to the strike at MAP. I am not losing patience, I just don't understand the Allocation process. Does every dealer get 1 ranger allocation, or 1 raptor allocation? This dealer I have ordered from regularly turns over F150 and Bronco Raptors, as well as specialty mustangs and other limited edition ford products. With only 2 orders in the bank at my dealer, does the production queue need to wrap around again before my raptor gets picked up by the factory? So many questions, just looking for info, thank you!

I’m in the same boat as you, but now my dealer has 3 total raptors orders in. I was the first one to order a raptor but I didn’t put my order in until November 2023. Since then they got 3 more orders and couple of regular rangers orders. Unfortunately none of their orders have been pulled or have VIN, even basic XL and XLT orders. I did speak with sales manager and he said Ford is not limiting number of Raptor orders but due to demand they might only get 1 or 2 in. He also mentioned they gotten a handful of Bronco raptors, f150 raptors, f150 raptor R, and even a rare Bronco DR. So I don’t think Ford will be limiting them to just one Ranger Raptor.

My hunch is Ford is not ramping up Ranger production until Summer. If all else fails I will order the 2.7 Ranger once orders open if the Raptor is a bust and no VIN gets pulled.

I had a similar situation and my dealer created another order for me in Jan. My first order was a stock order and the second order was retail. Most dealers received additional allocations at the beginning of this year. It worked and I got a build date of April 8th.

Same here with me. I placed my order for a RR on 5/26/2023. No options added. Still am showing as processing with no build date. I was the first and only RR order at my dealership. I just received another 45 day update email yesterday from Ford stating no build date yet. It would be nice to know if the RRs are being built for sale yet or if they are only media and test versions so far. The wait continues!!

Same here have two orders one Stock and one Retail. Received the email that they were working on it etc. Ford chat says Clean ready to be scheduled. Dealer said it should be picked up in April and with the delay etc. I am glad it is not built and sitting on a lot in the snow. My Dark Horse Mustang was the same and it went from no VIN to delivery in less then a month.

Supposedly each dealer gets 1 retail order for a Ranger Raptor. Then they will open the gates for additional orders My dealer is a U300 dealer (under 300 units annually) and they are usually back of the line.

My dealer is a small town small dealer, my initial order was retail on May 26th 2023 & then quickly changed to a stock order as per Ford’s instruction. One month later Ford said to change back to retail & my original order was cancelled & a entire new order with a new order number was submitted which made my order appear to Ford as being one month later than it actually was which somewhat annoyed me but it was out of my control. Back before Christmas at some point I was seeing on this Forum that orders placed 5 & 6 months after mine were being scheduled which was very upsetting to me so I called my dealer GM & explained this to him. I even questioned him as to whether or not there was really a allocation & if it was truly for my order & he assured me that yes there was one RR allocation & that it was mine. He then said that he would email his regional representative but being as it was right before the holidays it was probably not going to be seen until after New Years. Well, I didn’t pursue it any further & next thing that I knew, on 1/18 I received a VIN & build date of 3/11 so I have no idea what happened but I’m not going to question anyone about it. I’m just hoping that it holds true & it goes into production on schedule. I know the frustration that everyone is enduring & I sincerely hope that everyone gets scheduled ASAP!!

My dealership had one RR ordered before I ordered one back in October. This is the latest response I got from my dealership last week:

Mike, I have your unit allocated for this year. Outside of that, I’m overbooked by 3-4 units, and some will overflow into 25.
