A friend from down under mentioned that the Ranger XLT models were available with the Upfitter switches and wiring as an option. IN the USA, this is limited to the Raptor model, but I wonder if the wiring is actually present, just no switch panel and switches installed? Seems it would be easier to have a single type of wiring harness for production then having multiple ones.

So can anyone with a XLT or Lariat confirm the wiring is present? This could be done by checking the fuse panel for the unterminated wiring from the switches (description is in the manual) or you could use a panel tool and pop the blnk cover from the cetral overhead panel and check there.

You probably have already figured this out by now, but the US market XLT does not have the upfitter wiring installed. I can see where the fuse/relay box would mount on the battery tray but there's nothing there unfortunately.

While I agree that it would be easier to use one wiring harness, and I've benefited from this on my 22 XLT, I think Ford would invest in having a US and Not-US line with different wiring. However.... I'll be checking my Ranger's engine bay just in case!!
