Stock. Always. Aftermarket is just for looks and the whoosh sound. Anyone telling you otherwise is either brainwashed or wants to sell you one. Data and stats are snakeoil. Hp gains are a joke.

Let me inject what everyone needs to understated about after market air filtration. The one thing is a tested given. It's to make money. I use them but not on a daily driver. Sure they'll have test results to prove they work because they do in most cases. If you gain a tiny bit of flow what your giving up is filtration, bottom line! Even a small 1% less in filtration lets in small debris that otherwise you would not get in the engine. If you have turbos that debris sees the turbo first. When compared to the overall CFM air flow an engine sees in it's lifetime. Is it worth it? That's the million dollar question. It has always been known that more air in, air out, brings a few horsepower difference. Free flowing air filters should be left to the occasional driven auto, race car, show car etc.... not a daily driver in my experience and humble opinion. In many situations you will void your factory warranty because it's not approved by the auto makers and engine damage/turbo damage will be put onto the filter in question if they can! You can count on that. The only proper/safe way to increase air in for a daily driver, is to increase the filters size, more square inches of filtration equals less resistance especially on turbo-ed engines! It may not be as cool looking or give you a sound you might like to hear but it works and functions without letting in debris that the today's engineered paper products, tested for the engine in question to provide the needed flow demands. One reason you see so many variables in filter size today with a substantial increase in the number of pleats to provide less restriction. They are tested to meet the demands per engine requirements and of course the dreaded EPA requirements. I'm not trying to bust bubbles here but pass on know how. Just something to think about. I believe in the motto to each their own but think about out one and all! It is a personnel choice and we have many these days for our rides! Best to all!

S&B are in stock at many places now. I am ordering one with the dry filter, had one on my 3.5 F150 for 5 years and for the price they are great. I already did a drop in BMC but wanted to get some miles on my RR before diving in any deeper. Lots of opinions regarding filtration but how many people are going to own their truck long enough and put enough miles on it to be an issue? I also put BMC filters in my 911, Porsche uses them as the stock filters on $250k GT3s so I'll trust their engineers. I doubt they want to be dealing with warranty issues on a $80k engine replacement.
