Bah! That’s too bad. I thought this would be a silver bullet to my situation. I assume by opening the lid, it raises higher than the top plane of the bed (or bottom plane of a cover).
It opens about 3/4 of the way, as I have it here, before it would hit a cover I would think. I could get a couple more looks tomorrow but it's just too damn cold out there now. 5 degrees with a "feels like" of -5 at the moment! I like the cold but this is a bit much.

Playing around with some vinyl last night to mask the "battle scars" inflicted during this winter's snowstorms. Didn't like anything I tried but left this until I rethink it again. It's like that new commercial, "meh." Going to cut out some of the black, leave some gray showing through and then decide if I want to just leave it.

Added the Yankum ropes recovery point to the bag of tricks. Can now attach to the hitch with a soft shackle.

One truck, two motorcycles
Dave, the OEM Ford trim piece, p/n N1WZ-17232-DAPTM is showing for $270 at the link below. Some rattle-can paint, and all is good.

With a former motorcycle, I bought a second set of radiator shrouds, a rear tire hugger, and some lower fairing panels, and used aftermarket/OEM Kawasaki rattle-canned candy burnt orange that turned out really nice. Clear-coated on top with an automotive rattle-can. The guy who eventually bought the bike said I did a really good job with the paint. I didn't tell him it was rattle-can paint.

@embedded rock thank you very much. That's quite a bit cheaper than I'd seen it.

Stopped and snapped a pic where I had previously taken my favorite picture of my GT350:

Wanted to add this pic from Feb. 23rd to memorialize when the truck just bombed right through 18-20"+ of unplowed snow to get from the main roadways, through the neighborhood and into the driveway near my folks' place.

Pretty exciting stuff today; replaced the air filter and the cabin filter. Truck has a little over 25,000 miles. Air filter wasn't too bad but the cabin filter was noticeably dirty. Never thought much about cabin filters before but this one is so easy to access (don't tell Ford or when they do the next gen their engineers will put it somewhere that you need to remove the driveline to get to it).

Little trail riding in South Jersey yesterday on our way to Long Beach Island. View from the Raptor's camera makes it look like we're playing Baja racer!

Looks like fun!
Fiancé and I hit the trail on the way to Long Beach Island. Was some areas that looked like they recently burned and we actually snuffed out a smoldering spot with the ol' trusty foldable shovel and some sand while we were in there.

Then on the way back home, trail I had planned to hit was blocked so we went down a different one. Combination of deeper, soft sand, and then mixed in rutted, washboard stretches. What you can't see in the video is my fiance making wild hand gestures to avoid anything remotely interesting and to keep it slow. Again, sorry for the annoying noises of my phone holder. It's clearly just not supposed to be a camera mount.
