What Weather App do you use

Curious if anyone has found a decent weather app that shows up on screen that's easy to navigate?

On my phone I just use "MyRadar" it's just a simple radar app with next to no ads and no BS. I have used it for years and love it. It tries to work on the screen but keeps asking for permissions which I give, but keeps telling me theres an error.

Curious if anyone has found one to show up on the touch screen in the truck(moving with the GPS) that will work pretty easily thats not super intrusive.

I also use MyRadar. I do not get any errors, but it is useless in CarPlay because you cannot zoom in.

I use MyRadar and it works perfectly on my Ford screen, no errors, and I can zoom in and out, and it works in the Split Screen mode too. I haven't found a better one for the factory setup. One warning, the precipitation shown does't mean you are driving on wet roads, the rain can often be driven miles away by strong winds. So it is only theoretically useful. And the app freezes if your cell signal drops, like in the mountains.

Garmin offers radar on its DriveSmart gps, but it appears on a separate page and doesn't overlay your track.... totally useless.

Interesting you both have gotten it to work. Maybe I'll uninstall and try again. Thanks! At least I know its possible to get on the screen.

I also use MyRadar. Works well enough on Android Auto. Helped me know when the monsoon was going to end this summer driving from Gulf Shores back to Dallas.

I sure would like to know how you get this to work. Just to be clear, I'm assuming you are accessing MyRader using an iPhone and you are engaging the app via carplay in your Ranger. And when you write "Ford Screen" I'm assuming that in your Ranger portrait display. And you are using the free version of MyRadar.

Please provide your config: iPhone model, iOS version, MyRader app version.

When I use MyRadar via carplay I can zoom in and out and move only if I'm moving less than 20 mph. I have an iPhone 14, iOS 26, MyRadar (free) version 7.1.113.3

iPhone 16 Pro, IOS 26.0.1, MyRadar free version 7.113,1, Allow Tracking While Using, Continue Without Supporting, Follow My Location ON (or Location While Using), Airport Popup OFF, Cellular Data ON.

I can zoom at any speed. This is a fundamental requirement for an app designed for pilots!!! It has never given me any issues using it as a regular app on the big Ranger screen..,. You can submit a request to the MyRadar developers if you still have problems.
