Whatsapp audio messages

Hello
While using Apple Car Play and when I receive a Whatsapp audio message, it is not played by the radio, it only says "xxx has sent you a voice message".. so I can hear what was sent. If I receive a text message (whatsapp) it got read by siri, but audios are not played.

Has anyone fixed that? It is quite annoying. I pretty sure it is a IOS limitation thou

Pretty sure this is a iOS/siri limitation. Siri can read messages, but can’t playback audio. Siri can’t even read messages from Signal - so I think it also depends on the app and what permissions it allows Siri to access?

Siri is very basic in what it can do. Apple is supposedly working on major upgrades to its AI assistant but who knows when that’ll happen. Until then, we’re stuck with Siri

I've run into the same CarPlay issue. For business messaging, I use ultramsg to send and receive WhatsApp audio reliably through their API. It's simple to integrate and has fixed pricing. Hopefully Apple will address the Siri limitation soon.
