Usual Scumbag dealer actions. Dealers tells me- we got great deals- doesn't mention Employee pricing. I bring it up- Sales MANAGER, says the one Ranger he has got wrecked -lol. I mention factory order- says- they usually charge MSRP, i say Ford corporate says it applies to orders till 7-7. Has the marbles to says he's not sure, gets back to me saying, ok lets order it. I say- your gonna have to come off the Price significantly below E/P, since Ford is actually paying the difference- Was I correct? Is ford making up the difference to the (Scumbag) dealers?

Dealer doesn’t get a kickback from FoMoCo if they deviate from the plan price listed on the invoice.
yes they can go below this figure, but sounds like dealer doesn’t like selling below MSRP let alone invoice, and would not touch below plan price because they would lose their money from Ford.

There are a few dealers who advertise 4% under invoice so you have those options but if you live far from them, may be not worth your time.

Ford Employee Pricing (E/P) is a price set by Ford. It is lower than the regular price. Ford tells dealers to sell at this price during the offer period.

Ford gives the dealer money back to cover part of the discount. The dealer still gets paid, but not the full retail price.

You were mostly right — Ford helps cover the price cut. But some dealers still try to add fees or not honor the price.

If the deal is real and within the date, the dealer should follow it. You can also call Ford customer service and ask them to confirm the offer and report the dealer if needed.

As I understood it, employee pricing was only for the month that it was offered in, which was March or April? That is when I bought my Ranger. I brought up the employee pricing then, and it gave me a significant discount of almost $5,000. If someone is going to mess you around just get up and walk out. There's other dealerships.
