So my ordered truck came into the dealer yesterday (Friday) salesman called to go over financing options, i mentioned to him about the current $2000 Ranger rebate i want to use, when he called back he said that i couldn't use that rebate with Emp pricing, but he could help me by vacating the A-Z plan he could reduce the MSRP use the rebate to get me back to the the A plan pricing actually $135 less or something close to that, IDR.
Also with A plan the Doc fee is capped @ $150 their doc fee is $599 so that's more expensive for me.

So there is no benefit for me to switch deals, I'm guessing he wants to do this so they can use Fords rebate money as a way to reduce down the MSRP and not cut into their margin.
He says it's a better deal for me while confusing the conversation with salesman dribble, now I'm confused but i told him i want to close using the A-Z numbers. Pickup day is Monday and i don't have any of his 'new numbers on paper just what he told me over the phone.
My MSRP is $41,300, A-Z is $38,655 if the rebate goes to me then my # is $36,655
Any thoughts or suggestions? Did anyone get the rebate PGM #11510 with A-Z or even X plan ?
TIA.

AZ plan has limits on what rebates you can use with it, that is correct. I mean if your goal is the lowest price does it matter how they get to the price?

Yes on the limits, I'm going to call the AZX plan 800 # on Monday, Ford CS wasn't sure exactly so they provided me with that #.
So both my purchase #'s are essentially the same their just using Fords rebate to reduce by $2g to make the same #'s i already have using the 'A' plan.
This was a hassle free set price back on June 2 when i ordered, now all of a sudden they want to take care of me cause last month i purchased a Bronco (for the wife) and ''I'm a repeat customer two vehicles in a month'', says salesman to me.

The A plan is $38,655 +$75 Doc no rebate to me says them.
Their deal $38,520 + 599 Doc they reduce msrp by $1,050 +$2000 rebate
= the $38,520 from a starting $41,570 MSRP.

Seems fairly straightforward. Go with whichever costs you less.

If this helps? .......I got the employee pricing and the ford rebate for first responders/military.

Why does ford limit what rebates you can get? My dealer let me get whatever rebates I could

Because it isn’t up to the dealer. Ford gives the rebates and limits which ones can and cannot be combined.

UPDATE:
So according to the CS rep at the rebate center the Dealer can choose to or not to apply the rebate when using A-Z or X plan purchase, and his take on them offering me the other purchase deal is obviously because of the higher Doc fee (more profit for them) also they like the regular deals because they have the higher MSRP not the reduced plan MSRP according to the rep.

So at least i have the answer from a non involved party.
I'm sticking with the 'A' plan it turns out $524 less w/o rebate than their deal using the rebate, What's frustrating is their willing to use the rebate as a hook to take the other deal so they get to charge me the higher Doc fee,
I'd like to say unbelievable but it's not.
