I have a new 2024 Ranger Lariat.
I am getting a buffeting sound from the passenger side door when speed approaches 80km. The sound is much louder when driving in wind except when when going exactly with the wind. All windows and doors are properly closed.
The noise doesn't really stop when a window is cracked open a little bit or folding in the mirrors.
The doors look to fit quite properly though the front gap may be just a bit too wide. The weather stripping seems in place okay.
The drivers door is perfectly quiet regardless even when very windy.
The dealership body shop is having trouble isolating the cause.
Any suggestions?

Probably not the same thing but FWIW, I was showing off my lariat to my dad. Took him out for a ride. He immediately commented on some wind noise from the passenger side. Come to find out, his door was not shut completely. The only warning the truck provided was the very small red light on my instrument panel that was lit. There were no alarm sounds or any other type of center message center warning. Once closed no noise. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I heard it in my wifes Raptor on our way home from up north in Michigan. My son was having to re-close the passenger door every now and then when we took off from being parked. I rode in the passenger side on our way home and never thought about trying to shut the door harder. I'll check it out next time I'm riding shotgun and re-post.....

I had it on my driver's side as well. Initially, it seemed like it could be due to the window seal. I did several tests sealing the window gaps with tape with no results. Finally, the wind noise was because the door was slightly misaligned, something that wasn't noticeable at first glance.

The dealership has since ordered a replacement door seal. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
