I know there is a ton of info on this already. However, digging for the answers I'm searching for has proven difficult. So here we go. My current setup is a 2024 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 2.3L. I want new shoes and some height. I have chosen Nitto Ridge Graps in size 285/70r17 with Method wheels +25 offset. Now, should I go with a 2" puck level or a RC 3.5 lift? I'm curious if the RC lift nets a true 3.5" or something closer to 2" lift. I'm somewhat on a budget but want what's going to last. I did think about the Fox 2.0 coilovers, but I read that have to be redone every 50k. I'm not up for spending that much and somehow having a spare set while those are getting re-valved. Now, as far as my driving - mostly highway with the occasional backroads for camping, kayaking and things of that nature. No serious jumps and such. I'm really digging this look/setup minus the 12.5 tire width and 0 offset (looks sic but a little too much poke for me). Thanks for any help!

PS: Does the RC 3.5 route require crash bar removal?

my father-in-law has the exact truck you have and did the 2" lift with the same tire size you asked about. i don't have any good pics because i am at work but he uses it as a daily driver with no issues. we don't have off roading here where i live but it looks like it would do fine because he has ample room around the tires.

Thx for the response superj. A pic or two would be nice but not a "must" if you get a chance. Do you know if crash bars had to be removed? Thx again!

For a 2" or 2 1/2" level, all that's needed are pucks. Those can be had for $60.
Anything more, you will need new UCAs, struts, sway bar links and lift blocks for the rear.
So, it's either 2" for $60 or 3.5" for $620.
I'm not sure on crash bars. I haven't seen too much talk about them with 33" tires.
