Ford's weekly commodity report shows 2,717 Total Retail USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) orders excluding Raptor, as of 1/8/24.

Retail USOB: Is the current mix of retail orders in the unscheduled order bank (USOB) at the time the report was run. The report only looks at orders that are “clean”, meaning they do not have a compatibility error, material hold or on 99 priority code.

See previous report.

How many Rangers do they get built in a week on average? Just curious how that works

There was another post on here that I can't find now stating Ford's Ranger Production plans for March and it was like 3000 (3500?) Rangers and 700 Raptors a month.

Sounds pretty reasonable given that plant is split with Bronco production.

Looks like the start of what we've all been waiting for. Nearly 600 less in backlog than last weeks report.

Man that’s crazy so roughly 1,000 a week. Bronco probably doing the same I’d guess that’s wild

I worked for a couple of manufacturing companies back in the day but we were not building anything as complex as a truck. So I apologize in advance if this is a silly question. I know just enough about manufacturing to ask dumb questions.

So hypothetically speaking, let's say they ramp up production and get through all of the Retail USOB, the Stock orders, and the Raptor dealer allocation by May or June. What then? Will they start building all of the additional Raptor orders above the dealer allocation?

They will build what they have parts for with Retail taking priority over Stock orders, but that also means the Dealer needs to have an allocation available.

The Raptors are a specialty vehicle and need an allocation that Ford grants the Dealers from what-ever formula they use to calculate who gets how many. Since we have no clue as to what the formula will entail, it's anyone's guess but don't expect them to build RRaptors over and above the Dealer allocations.

Wow, so it sounds like Ford could get to a point where they have orders to build but won't build them because those orders would put the dealer over allocation. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Even XL, XLT and Lariats need an allocation not just Raptors.

Already the case, many that currently not scheduled is because the dealer doesn't have an allocation.

I had someone else tell me the same thing recently, I wasn't sure if that would change once they ran out of trucks to build. Sounds like Ford hates money.

Makes no sense. Everyone here, including dealers, are commenting that Ford is only allocating one RR for each dealer....That's about 3000 dealers. So they will stop making them after a month of production and be done?

My understanding is that there will be a Job 2 with additional allocations, but no one knows how many or how those allocations will be given. The 1 allocation per dealer is for Job 1.
