Sounds like you made the right choice. The reduced trailer towing capacity of the Raptor bugs me a bit. I might follow suit. Thanks.I covered it in another thread, but it isn't the right truck from me and I confirmed that to myself last weekend hunting sheep in the desert. My 2019 FX4 was so awesome in the sand that I know I don't need the Raptor.
I'm looking for a trail rig (not a Baja truck) that can carry a full payload and tow a small trailer. The reduced payload/towing and fuel economy are negatives that don't outweigh the benefit of a front locker... which is about the only attribute of a Raptor that I'd actually want. (And I'm not sure I even need the front locker with the Trail Control)
The Baja suspension on the Raptor is cool for Baja, but too soft for my use and a Tremor will almost certainly have the drive modes I want.
I am better to get a Tremor with a 2.7L and add aftermarket equipment specifically designed for my use.
The Raptor has the "cool" factor, no doubt, but that's not enough to sway me over the negatives of it's other attributes.
