What all did you have to do to adjust the hood latch?

Loosen 2 8mm head bolts, move latch, tighten bolts.

I slid it up about 1/8”. Was still hard to close. Tried 1/4”. Closes with a one foot-ish drop. Good enough for me and body lines still match perfect.

Bolts are a bit awkward to get to without removing the trim. I used a ratcheting wrench on the driver side, and a quarter inch ratchet with long extension, u joint, and shallow socket on passenger side.

Does it seem like it makes it a lot "stickier" so that things like a toolbox / tackle box / etc. wouldn't just slide around? I am wondering how much it helps over just the bedliner?

A little bit... it's far less course than the bed liner, which I was concerned would damage some of the things I carry (pinball machines) but didn't want the smooth painted bed. I'd say it's typical rubber mat grippy and should be great for tool/tackle boxes and the like of sufficient weight.
