Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel

Has anyone got or seen a Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel upgrade? I have seen some sites on IG and they look amazing. Not sure if anyone has done that to their R/R or a previse vehicle.

I know that’s a popular trend, but not for me.
I had alcantara on my TRX steering wheel, as well as the new Defender 90 v8 came with an all Alcantara wrapped wheel.
Thats actually why I bought the new leather carbon fiber wheel for the Defender, I just never have been a fan of Alcantara on steering wheels or seats for that mater.
i like it for headliners just not crazy about it on other Stuff I have to touch.

I just got a quote to replace all the fake carbon fiber trim and do the steering wheel and center console. I will post pictures as they come in and get installed. I know I went over board but this truck is my dream truck so I am going over the top on it.

It really cleans the french fry oil off your fingers. When you look at 5 year old aclantara it looks horrible.

For something like that I am not sure if I would buy it on Ebay. I bought mine for ACG Automotive in San Diego.

There seems to be a lot of stuff like that, which most of it comes out of China. However, that is where many of the OEMs are sourcing the OEM components from as well.

Almost all wheels are made in China these days.
It would not shock me if the company selling those steering wheels is the same company that made the OEM wheel that is on our trucks.
Just speculating.

But seems to make sense as to how they have the wheel cores to be able to customize them, if they make them there as well.

Sell them bulk to the OEMs say $100ea sell custom version to the public for $350ea.
Could be totally off based on that, but just my best guess to what is happening there.

I am going to wait to order one, till I have had a chance to install the one I bought for my Defender drive it around at least a few days to make sure I like it.

I don't really hate the stock wheel that is on my RR, like I do the one that came on my Defender. So, I am not in any big hurry to swap the RR 's wheel.

I see in the eBay listing they will make it about however you want it.
If you want it in Alcantara they will make it that way.

For Me, the only thing I don't like on my RR wheel is the orange ring on the top.
So, If I order one, I would request to skip putting any orange on it, and likely go carbon with perf leather like it is shown with.

Yea for my steering wheel and replacing that fake plastic carbon trim with real cost me a butt load more then 350 LOL

I think the stock steering wheel is pretty nice, step down from my GTI wheel but still nice.
