I’m new to this forum, but I’ve been reading the posts for the past few months. I recently bought my 24 RR and have put about 2,000 miles on it so far. I’ve been really happy with the truck. Last night, while driving home through traffic, I noticed a slight squealing sound coming from somewhere (maybe the transmission). I checked it out this morning and didn’t hear it again during my drive to work today. However, when I had to fight traffic again tonight, the squealing sound came back. Both times, the transmission temperature was around 207-210 degrees Fahrenheit. When it’s between 170-200 degrees Fahrenheit, I don’t hear any sound. I’m not sure if this is something to worry about or if you’ve had similar experiences. I tried taking a video of it, so hopefully you can hear the sound.
I plan on taking it to the dealership soon anyway since when I purchased the truck (brand new with 8 miles on it), it was missing the tailgate raptor emblem. Also, instead of the badge, the embossed letters in “Ranger” have been filled with plastic lettering which I think looks great (see attached). They have ordered a new badge and I am supposed to pick it up soon so I might just have them check it out at the same time.
