17x9 0 Offset Vossen HFX1’s on a Ranger Raptor using the stock 285/70/17 KO3's. No rubbing at full lock on a flat ground but it’s really close to the crash bars. I plan to remove them soon.

*Update: No rubbing at all thus far with crash bars

Wheels look good. Now you should powder coat your skid plate black to go with your blacked out theme. I did mine was 100 bucks.

Looks great! Did you have to modify anything to make those work? What tires? Any rubbing?

Did you go with OEM wheel and tire size?

No I didn’t yet but I want remove the crash bars as their is little clearance. Factory tires BFG KO3’s. No rubbing on flat ground but it’s very close.

Hello,
We have beadlock factory wheels that are +55 offset. I am planning install Trex T300 wheels with 0 offset and use original tires. I have been following a few threads and people mentioned that they may be rubbing in extreme conditions when off-roading.
Can u guys help me understand why would there be any rubbing if you are moving the wheel/tire “away” from the suspension components?
Thanks

While you are moving the wheel outwards from the suspension by 55mm with offset of 0, the outer edge of the tire will protrude more (poke) and when you have steering at full lock, the outer edge can rub or be impeded by the wheel arches/crash bars/fender liners. At full suspension compression it may contact the fenders as well depending on tire selection, wheel width and offset.

Wheel width is an important factor in conjunction with offset/backspacing measurements. A 10" wide wheel will poke more at the same offset than an 8.5" wheel will since the barrel is 1.5" wider.

Thank you so much… totally makes sense… in our case, if off-roading is not on our wish list, going to 0 offset while retaining wheel and tire width should not create the extreme situation you described… would you agree?

With OE tire size you will likely be fine with a +0 offset 8.5" wide wheel. It may be close/touch slightly at full steering lock when going in reverse and say backing out a sloped driveway from what I have heard/seen in earlier threads here, especially if you have mud flaps.

Fyi I have factory wheels, with 315s pretty close to a 35 a leveling kit. Crash bars still in place and never rub. Been in the dunes, wood, mud no rub at all. It's the offset that makes the difference.
