Keyless Entry Activation

With FORD now monitoring this forum I wondered if there is an update on when Keyless Entry will be reactivated. I understand this was deactivated prior to handover because of security concerns pending a fix. I am just wondering when this is likely to be rolled out. I trust its new keys and a software update?

I recently leased a Ford Edge and the door key pad was not available. So.... disappointing. All of my prior Ford products have had the drivers door key pad. Now I either have to carry that obnoxious fob or use Ford pass to open the doors.
Not a happy camper!!!

you mean the little keypad?, or just touching the handle and the truck opens automatically if you are carryng the key in the pocket with you?. Because the later is active in the raptor as far as I know (miy truck has it and no issues)

No its the touch your handle (Not keypad) - it was deactivated in the UK. My dealer said they were waiting on keys before starting the recall. Just trying to get a date.... if find it a pain in the ass having to find my key to lock/unlock it when suffering the typical British weather....

I’m surprised they’re taking the keypad out. Awesome feature (the app hardly works half the time)! & it’s such a differentiating feature for a Ford to have, nobody else does this yet Ford people love it.

I have just taken ownership and (like yourself) have a manual keyfob - not great for UK weather as you say :-(

No... still no date provided by Ford and I was in contact with my local Master Tech last week. It's very poor. Going in for its first service next month.

I raised a Complaint with Ford....got some good news and looking likely for end July
‘Passive keyless entry was removed as an option due to the correct key fob not being available,

I have spoken to the team on this and there will be an FSA action that is rolled out shortly that will allow customers to get replacement keys, I would expect deployment of this will start this month. Currently, it is looking like Raptor keys may be deployed more quickly, following a further supplier delay for Ranger keys.

Our expectation is that customers will receive a letter (as per any other FSA process) and be invited to book their vehicles in for reprogramming of the keys.

Have now tried to escalate as no movement from Dealership or Ford Uk :-( Very disappointing.

My first and only Ford prior to getting my new RR soon was a 2001 Ford Sport Trac. I drove that thing for 15 years and honestly, the keypad was one of my favorite features on the car if not my favorite feature (besides rear sliding glass). Ford should not go away from this, I don’t think they realized how much people who use them really like them.

Are you able to turn off keyless entry in the menu anywhere like you can on other Ford models?

new keys are available now and software update, I have mine booked in to be done next Tuesday
