Looking to start up a thread where you can post photos of what running boards you ve got, and how far they stick out. Selfishly I want to remove my Raptor ones and do something with a drop step so I can bypass them, while my wife needs them.

Looking down the RRaptors steps stick out 5" beyond the door sil.

Feel free to share so people can find what they are looking for.

Hate this didn't catch on. I'm looking for running boards for the truck I have on order. I'm trying to find some that just barely extend beyond the side of the trucks outermost profile, to avoid door dings, without being too wide.

I'd suggest a picture looking down the side of the truck with the door closed as well.

I know, right?

I saw a deal I couldn’t pass up. Rough country SRX2 steps for $199 plus free shipping.
Shouldn’t rust, they are aluminum. Just finishing up the install but so far they don’t get in the way, the steps are adjustable front to back and the rail is nice and high. The install and the assembly leave some room for improvement but so far they look good. Added a photo but it’s dark here.

Nice/\

I will have to take pics tomorrow. I wish my tyger blades stuck out farther. I wanted as wide a platform as possible

Look at the RoRhino RB 20 slim line version.

Thus far the Go Rhino RB 20 slim has been the main ones catching my attention. I'm unsure if the step is wide enough to avoid door dings. I haven't read any detailed for or against the powder coat vs bed liner finish.

Not 100% sure yet but I probably don't want drop steps (wife, kids, dog) but if I were going that route the aluminum extrusion ones Jeff has look nice. @Jeffola, what's the width and depth of the steps tread surface? Also, how low do they hang from the body of the truck?

I had tried three sets of boards before this.

N-Fab RS, liked them, rusted in 7 weeks
GoRhino RB30 Slim TOTAL GARBAGE, none of the GoRhino stuff is truly vehicle specific, I don care for the way they go together and they were too wide (Yes even the slim)
Rough County Nerf Step, liked them, rusted in 5 weeks
Rough Country SRX2, Super sale, aluminum, time will tell.

I know Realtruck is a site sponsor and I am on their product advisory team, but it seems to me that EVERY COMPANY they buy, they cheapen the products.

Tried two different bed covers, both were issues (in their defense, one was not their brand) and I had to figure out the issue because the actual manufacturer (Access) either didnt really try or give a crap to do so.

I got the Go Rhino RB20 Slims with the bed liner coating. Highly recommend!

Here you go. They’re adjustable and mine dont stick out past my tires. Hope this helps.

Nailed it right on the head! That's the picture I've been scouring the internet for. So based on that, if one's wanted intentions where to prevent door dings, these would help if the dinger's door rear profile was fairly vertical.
