Bumped into a Raptor R on my first road trip in the new truck!

Big Raptor definitely could pull on me, slowly walked away every time. But I was pleasantly surprised how well the little ranger kept up, it was by no means a slaughter. There were far more entertaining moments than this one, but here we have a perfectly legal pass no harm no foul.

Few mins later he gave me the thumbs up and we parted ways

super fun!

What drive mode were you in? Sport definitely gives you more pull and for smooth mountain roads it just feels right…..

Dang!
I'd loved to have ran into them. Came up on one on the interstate, and couldn't get him to go.
Embarrassed a guy with a drive out tag on his new vette, he started pulling closer to me at 130 my back bumper by 140, luckily ran outta runway & slowed down before he could get by. I had just filled up, bed full of tools, and muddy from off-roading.

Naw man, it's an inherent responsibility as an Raptor owner, especially and Raptor R owner to always "GO" whenever it is safe to do so.

I was in sport/sport/sport/baja

I think maybe baja/sport/sport/baja would have been a touch faster

yep I know your ranger is different animal

I will be asking advice from you on what to do to mine, gonna have to recover the bank account a few months here, but I want to do it right. Tranny upgrades, and I’m looking at maybe the explorer ST port injection kit and a goose tune

What I’ve ordered so far

-full process west pipes
-cobb Intercooler
-ruthenium plugs

What I’ve installed

-line-x undercoat
-bak revolver bed cover
-Katzkin interior
-Diode dynamics ditch lights
-redline hood struts
-UPR dual catch can

Next Planned upgrades

-indicarbon Intake
-few more Diode Dynamics pods
-goosetune

Waiting on market for
-best exhaust
-74 weld portals (need tariff war to die down)

long term upgrades
-suncoast diesel 10R60 enhancements
-Hoss 3.0
-UCA shear reinforcement kit/tie rods
-pump upgrade + port injection kit + turbos
-35/37’s well see, I don’t like rotational mass 8) and portals add major clearance

With you on sport mode in the mountains...also like the shift points going downhill as not to ride the brakes.
