Got confirmation that my Ranger XLT is built and shipped. Should be here by the end of the month - WOO HOOO!

Sold our pristine 44,000 mile 2016 Escape today, so we're all ready for when the Ranger arrives. Gotta start ordering goodies for it.
That's some crap lol

I order mine back on April 12th and it's been built apparently but sitting on the lot for a few weeks now waiting "final inspection" :(

My tracker still shows "in production" since July 15th.

Congrats though!

Mine’s been waiting to ship since 6/26. However, I needed a vehicle, so I bought a RR instead and will pass on the Lariat.

Congratulations your 2.3L Ranger you ordered will be backed up by the same transmission used in the F-150 with a 664 foot pounds torque rating. I use mine on the beach and that engine will do just fine for you. As far as a cover the soft covers are close to being all the same. in my opinion. I went with a an aluminum rollout cover for security reasons.

Great news about being built & shipped, the Fords website will give you an estimated Dealer delivery date.
Mine is being built the w/o 8/25 and from what I’ve noticed about Dealer ordered stock units it takes about a month or so ( in most cases) to finally arrive, so for me that would be the End of Sept. roughly 16 weeks from order date.Of course I’m hoping sooner .
As for the cover if you haven’t purchased one yet try https://realtruck.com/

Congratulations! What engine did you choose (both are excellent).
I ordered the 2.3L. We drove it and felt it was smoother and more responsive than the last 2024 I drove. Toyed with the idea of the V6, but for our use, the 2.3 will be fine.

i love the 2.3. great geas mileage, tons of take off power and highway passing power, and just a nice engine.

did you guys have the 1.5 or the 2.0 in your escape. we have the smaller engine in our 2014 and 2015 se escapes but when we got a titanium 2018, it had the 2.0 and i was super impressed with it. this 2.3 reminds me of that engine. it really moves when you want to go

We had a FWD SE so we had the standard 2.5L. Back then I wasn't interested in a turbo and I must say the 2.5 was flawless and had plenty of power for my wife. The folks who bought it were looking for a non turbo as well. When I listed our 2016 with 44K miles, I was overwhelmed with responses.

I never got to try a non turbo escape. Ours never had trouble either, not even that transmission issue tons of people talked about on the forums. We drove them all over the usa and i really liked them.

The 2.0 also get better gas mileage then the 1.6. And traction control did nothing in the 2.0. If you floored it, it spun the tires with that off or on. I never realzed it was the focus st engine, 3xvept an automatic, till my older son got his focus st

After placing my order on June 10th, we finally picked up our Ranger XLT yesterday. What a fun ride home as it's a great truck to drive. I installed a Lasfit bed and tailgate mat, and WeatherTech mats. Today the Extang Trifecta tri fold cover is going on.

As you can see, my wife is very happy, as she picked the color!
