Hello fellow Rangers,
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It's been a while since I posted, and wanted to share something with you guys. By now you probably know Garrett made a set of bolt on, larger turbos for our trucks.
It's a big deal that Garrett saw the potential in our trucks & invested in our platform. What's even better is they made them to fit the Ranger 2.7L/3.0L & the Bronco 2.7L/3.0L
We (ZFG,Nostrum,Suncoast) tested the prototype turbos from Garrett on our Gray Ranger Raptor, & were more than pleased with their performance.
But we hadn't tested the production versions.
Seeing so many people installing them has been awesome, but the results wasn't.

Just to make sure the production versions weren't any different, we went ahead & slapped a set on our white truck to see what they would do.
Whitey has the usual bolt ons (intake, exhaust, charge pipes, intercooler, bov), stock fuel system, & we ran it on 93 octane.

Our goal was at least 500rwhp on a Dynojet roller dyno.

They didn't disappoint. Results were 514 hp/569 ft lb tq. The turbos had a lot more to go, but we were limited by the factory fuel system & the fuel.

Baseline run was 333 hp/ 361 ft lb tq. Picking up 181 rwhp & 208 ft lb tq. Pics & video below.
Anyone that has been thinking about trying a set of the Powermax turbos, hope this helps. We want to help a little more.
Regular price on these turbos are $3399.95, since we hit 569 ft lb of tq, I want to offer them to the Ranger6G community for $2830.95. That's $569 off.

Love it - off topic what’s the led lights you used behind the grille?
Tried different brands but the closest to matching the Braptor 3 ambers & the drl’s were RoughCountry.

Do you have the graphs for the 2.7L?

We spent over a year (ZFGRacing, Nostrum,Suncoast) providing data to Garrett, are so excited to see them come to market. The numbers weren't what we had been used to, so I bought a set of production models to test.

2: Do you have the graphs for the 2.7L?
No. We tested the 3.0. Full Race did the 2.7. Here is a link to their 2.7 page. Full Race 2.7

3: What causes the dip/plateau at pre 5250rpm and post 5600rpm?
It's just a dip. That day we spent over $2k + donated resources, 8am-4pm on the dyno. Had other things to test besides the turbos. Didn't book an extra day to smooth out the graph, did that off site after we weren't on a time crunch.

He only posted the 714hp number that I'm aware of, but I've been offline a little bit. Is that the one you're referring to?

You'll be very happy! Garrett and Nostrum did a big discount for Black Friday - Part of December (not sure how long in Dec), just trying to pass that along. Did you get the stage 3 bundle? That's our other truck in the picture, where we worked with Nostrum in the development. You'll be putting up a lot bigger numbers than what was posted here when you add the Nostrum system and switch over to ethanol blends.
