Sorry I missed your questions earlier.

If it's a partial panel, I'm not sure it would add much value. There wouldn't be much surface area there, but I'm always open to things like that if there is enough demand. With the stiffness of these risers, the MOLLE Panels are not going to be required as initially expected.

Yes, there is, what we call, a "dynamic shim stack" that comes with each rail. Depending on the install position the stack needs to be taller or shorter. They are made from 5052 aluminum.

As for water, I would suggest a rubber gasket below the upright. We haven't spent time on that yet, but I have seen a few people here on the forum do just that with good success. I believe @Aemonn can speak to that in more detail.
Do the rails come with the permanent threaded connectors you developed as well or just the dynamic shim stacks?

They come with normal zinc-coated nylon lock nuts for the bottom. The Bolt-in Nut Plates are optional. I don't want to force the price of the product to be higher for the people that wouldn't be removing the rack often. Those little plates are a pain to form on the brake. 🤣

Here's the product page for anyone interested in those - https://americanadventurelab.com/product/ford-ranger-bolt-in-bed-rail-nut-plate-set/

This actually works out really well! The extra height lets the crown of the tire overhang the top of the cab a little, which I didn't think about before setting this up. This would be a good setup.

I also have some steel reinforcement mounts specifically built for the Piston Pro extrusion to reinforce the mounting here. It hugs exactly to the contour and removes the flex in their extrusion. I'll dig up some photos of those. They were designed for Turtleback Trailers, so we don't have them listed. I'm sure they won't mind, though.

I specifically told the team that 'torture testing' meant washboard roads in Moab, not whatever this is. The new rack system is tough, but I’m pretty sure this voids the warranty on the bike. If anyone sees a 7-foot invisible humanoid shredding trails near St. George, please ask for my bike back, calmly.

I like your idea of the hinged fold up panel better than a partial panel. It will solve the same issue since there really isn’t room anyways.

Would be very interested in a bed rack that can be attached on the back 2/3rds of the bed and the height is equal to the height of the cab. I have a toolbox that is 19” back from the front of the baed and then I have a homemade bi-fold hard tonneau cover.

That's exactly the reason we sell our RAILs in singles! We will be releasing a cab height (probably about 1" above the cab) rack.

@AdventureLab do you think you'll have the 10" rails on the store before the black Friday sale is over?
I will try, but if I don't, I'll have a code for the forum to make them the same price. That's only fair for as much feedback and measurements as you guys have provided.

Probably a dumb question, but when you add the cutout for Baja S2 Chase lights, I assume that's the flush mount version? Looking to grab some S2 while they're on BF sale.

Yes, that's correct. I'll make sure that's clear on the product page. Good question.
