I was searching for a value option for a tonneau and bed rack combo and I came across one that I'm happy with. I wanted to be able to at least open the first third of the tonneau while the bed rack cross members were in place.

The tonneau cover sits inside the bed caps and the bed rack mounting rails bolt through the stake pockets utilizing aluminum spacers.

The uprights that hold the cross members are fully adjustable up and down the length of the bed.

Love it! You've got the utility of the rack and the basic functionality of the tonneau cover. Should you ever need more bed access from the tonneau cover, those uprights are easily moved up like you mentioned, or even removed. Awesome setup!

Thanks! Everything went together very easily and the total price was less than a comparable tonneau with t-slots built in. Both of these items were found on RealTruck, BTW.

Now that looks well thought out.

What's the vertical distance between the top of the rail and the top of the cab?

I know they have the taller uprights but those are really tall.

It's about 6 inches from the top of the cross member to the top of the highest point of the cab above the rear window. I was thinking of chopping off a few inches at the bottom of the uprights and drilling new mounting holes in the bottom of the uprights.

I'm about to order the SRX rollup. I like the low profile and that it allows for bed rack options. Love the look you have!

Are you still happy with the Gator EFX cover? I'm looking at that one, but wondered if it remained somewhat water tight.

The tonneau itself is great. The water is all coming in around the tailgate.

I did use some neutral cure silicone around the inside of the bed to seal up holes (there are tons).

I would 100% buy this tonneau again.

 I just topped off my XLT bed with a Gator EFX just over a week ago now. It's been through a rainstorm and tested at a spray carwash at this point. Very comparable to what the BakFlip was letting in on my previous truck (a Titan), which isn't really much at all, but not completely dry.

Thanks for that update. The price point seems decent for a hard tonneau, and I've had good luck with @RealTruck in the past. I realize waterproof is not reasonable with these covers. My primary goal is secure storage in the bed.
