I am looking for a way to monitor engine temp, trans temp, oil temp, etc on a regular basis.
I see there are a number of Bluetooth enabled OBD2 port solutions.
1. Has anyone tried any and have a recommendation?
2. If I use a Bluetooth enabled one, will that interfere with Bluetooth enabled Android Auto/Car Play?
3. Is there a different solution that I am overlooking?

I use Forscan Lite and an old android phone I had laying around. It's Bluetooth connection is to the OBD device not Sync so no interference. Plus I can move it from Ford to Ford no problem. Sync4 can handle multiple Bluetooth connections just only one can be active at a time for say a phone call.

I've been using the same older Scanguage II for years for towing on several Fords. Just plugs in. No phone needed. One of these days I'll buy a newer one... maybe.

For Bluetooth I use an OBDLINK mx+ with the OBDLINK app, but for real-time, semi-permanent monitoring I bought a scan gauge III to eliminate any dependencies on my phone. I don’t understand why we can’t display the obd info in a CarPlay widget, but here we are.

And it still grinds my gears that there’s no way to monitor voltage in our rangers. It’s available in obd and is on our Bronco sport and other fords.

I agree. I need voltage when towing to monitor the charging voltage for my camper batteries.
