Hi everyone, how’s it going? I’m new here and wanted to share the project I’ve been working on with my Ranger.

I bought a 2026 Ford Ranger XLS V6 Diesel back in March, and I’ve slowly started making a few modifications. I already have several upgrades installed, along with a list of accessories and parts that I’m planning to add over time.

The Ranger is currently my daily driver, and I also use it to tow my other car: a 1981 classic Austin Mini, which I take to events and on road trips. So the idea is to build the truck to work well for both purposes: everyday driving and as a support/tow vehicle for the Mini.

Mods done so far
One of the first things I did was replace the factory grille with an aftermarket grille inspired by the Raptor. I also installed smoked LED taillights, steel side steps, and modified the front suspension to gain approximately 2 inches of lift, mainly to correct the factory rake and get the truck sitting level.

For the windows, I went with ceramic window tint, 30% all around, including 30% on the windshield.

I also added a set of 4x4 recovery boards, which I carry as part of the equipment for road trips and off-road use.

But the biggest change so far was about two weeks ago, when I finally upgraded the wheels and tires.

I installed Yokohama Geolandar 285/70 R17 tires, mounted on 17" TRD wheels, 9" wide with 0 offset. The difference in the truck’s overall stance and appearance was pretty significant, and this was one of the upgrades I had planned from the beginning.

Upcoming projects
There are still quite a few things I’d like to do. For now, the list includes:

  • Bed rack
  • Retractable roller tonneau cover
  • Additional underbody skid plates/protection
  • And probably a few other upgrades that will come along the way 😄

I’ll keep updating this thread as the build progresses and share pictures and details of each modification.
Hope you guys like how it’s coming along.

The truck looks great! I am a fan of the raptor grill swap. I did it also and love how the truck looks different from all the rest now

Liking that hood stripe, very unique and works well on your truck. The TRD wheels really work well too.

What fender flares are you running and were they full replacement or do the stick on overtop of the factory flares?

Thank you so much! Making the truck stand out from the rest was one of the things I wanted to achieve, and my cars have always been designed with that intention. Of course, always within the boundaries of good taste.

Thanks! The Ranger XL, XLS, and XLT models in Argentina don’t come with plastic fender flares from the factory. The ones I installed are similar to the ones fitted to the Ranger Raptor, which help cover the extra width of the tires and wheels sticking out from the sides. They’re a generic brand, basically replicas of the Raptor ones.

It is, TRD = Toyota Racing Development. It just happens that our Rangers share the same bolt pattern (unfortunately not the same offset or hub bore) as the current Toyota/Lexus trucks and SUVs. They use a low (typically 0) offset while we have the 55 offset, which is in part why so many of the aftermarket wheels that have the right pattern for our trucks are around that 0 offset.

Yeah, thought so. You won't see TRD on my truck anywhere. No offense.
