Truck doesn't have a Gravel mode, but this has little to do with the powertrain anyways. 4WD isn't going to help much when the truck can't keep any tire on the ground for more than a fraction of a second. The truck also won't turn or brake, regardless of 4wd mode. And for what its worth I did...
I certainly prefer this E-Shifter to the dial used in other Ford's, however, its kind of silly how it operates. The BMW design where you push forward for Reverse and pull backwards for Drive is much easier to use.
The entire chassis was oscillating so bad that you had virtually no control over...
They’re not wrong about the trucks performance in gravel washboard. I just spent a week driving forest roads in New Mexico and the truck was down right dangerous on 30-40mph washboard gravel. My friends 15 year old Subaru Forester was better there.
Mine looks similar, very poor fit and finish on these seats and some super cheap "leather".
Hopefully Katskinz comes out with some replacement leather, because I don't see the seats in this truck lasting long term.
I was looking at something like this. I have a friend with a machine shop and might see if he can make these as a single piece, but I'm planning to use it to attach an extruded aluminum crossbar setup.

My guess is that its because historically the light module (light bulbs) was considered a consumable/wear item and thus excluded from warranty.
Now days the lighting shouldn't be a wear item, but the standard warranty language hasn't caught up and they can make more money selling an add on...
Had an appointment with my dealership today to address a bunch of initial quality things.
Driver's door fitment - they adjusted it to fit correctly.
HVAC control Trim gaps - said this is "normal" and can't be fixed. (About what I expected, I'd rather them not tear my dash apart to fix it...
I bought the parts direct from Ford and then the dealer charged $350 to install them. Probably should have just done it myself, but if this POS bed ever bends in the future, I want the best possible shot at warranty recourse.
Pretty wild that Ford still has issues with cam phasers. Their system works very similar to BMW VANOS that's been around for 30 years now. BMW has had it sorted for 20+ years now.
They never mention how many entrants were in the class in these press releases. Both of the big US races they “won” last year were a class of ~2 and they were the only manufacturer backed team.
The new Colorado ZR2 also “won” the Mint 400 in a class of 1 whatever year they won it.
Yeah glad to see they opened some later dates, I'm already super booked up through the July dates. Also some Friday events work way better for flights.
The insurance is only $85. Not bad for a $5,000 deductible on a $60,000 truck. You'd pay $500 for similar insurance at a regular trackday.
For me its more about charging. The wireless charger in the Ranger is better than previous car wireless chargers I've used, but it still tends to overheat the phone which is going to degrade the battery over time.
Plus this truck is lacking storage space, so its nice to free up the charger area...
2 minute install. You slip the top of the clip under the gauge cluster trim, then carefully bend the clip and tuck the bottom on the bottom of the gauge cluster trim. A plastic pry tool is helpful for getting the top started.
Proclip has a link to the install instructions on the product page...
I also bought the Proclip mount and I'm using their adapter that runs an Apple Magsafe puck. Half of my reason for going for a mount is for better charging, so for that I only want to mess with an Apple charger. Can see the phone from my seating position and the mount gives you a low/high mount...
I’ve driven like 60k miles in cars with emergency brake assist and never had a phantom application of the brakes. Probably 2-3 times where it actually applied the brakes, although I was always confident I was fine. Probably less than 15 times it’s even warned me to brake in all those years.
A...
I tried to get Pro Trailer backup assist calibrated with my boat a few weeks ago, but the parking lot I was in was too small and had too much traffic. Tonight I was bringing it home and drove by the local mega church with an empty parking lot, so I swung in and spent a few minutes getting it...
Yeah its missing all of the accessory features of the app. I updated yesterday, tried to use the trailer light check feature today and couldn’t find it anywhere.
