Didn't measure it, but yes - I definitely did at the front bumper. In theory, if you are leveling to zero rake, you are going to get the full lift in front bumper clearance and maybe slightly more since there was negative OEM angle from the wheel to the front bumper (at least thats how I think...
I recommend turning off the drl wink w Forscan if you are tapping that wire. Otherwise the grill lights will turn off when you use the turn signal on that side. Maybe its just my OCD, but I found that weird.
Not that I know of. Its super annoying. Every other vehicle I drive is push button and I never remember to take the keys out before I get into the truck. Ive done it 1000 times and my muscle memory just wont adapt to it.
There are aftermarket push button ignition systems, but until someone...
Didn't change the shocks, although I may at some point. The truck doesn't live in a place with highways, so its all either offroad and mellower slower driving. Under those conditions I can't really tell a difference in MPG, but I also installed the kit immediately upon delivery, so I don't...
I had the same issue! Wound up using a molle square for one of the bolts and one of the holes for the other and it lined up. Not ideal, but it works (for now).
Maybe this is a recurring issue. I ordered white and just received mine and the box says yellow. Maybe I'll be surprised to find they are actually white once installed? Kind of annoying and would be pretty expensive to send them back to Aus.
Assuming its the 2.3 a 2.5" level is within 0.25" (measuring from tire to arch) and its probably the max you want to do without replacing the UCAs. I have 2.5" level on my XLT and its worked out great.
The stock xlt system is definitely mediocre but the biggest issue to my ears was that it had zero low end. The sound was really thin. Adding bass with the subwoofer helped fill out the range a lot.
The BO upgrade is definitely better than the xlt system but it isn’t exactly top notch either.
It sounds fine with a hi level input on my system and it’s a lot better than it was when it had no subwoofer. I didn’t have a line level output to tap into so I had to go hi level (my xlt didn’t have a subwoofer before I installed one). Does not sound muddy to me. I think muddy sound may have...
im wiring something like this up right now and I don’t have upfitter switches. Running power to 1banger flush mount lights, through a relay with a trigger hooked to a diode so they trigger with either my Powerswitch OR the backup lights. I’ll post another thread once it’s done (if it works!)...
use a wire and the letters pull off clean and easy. They are held with adhesive. I pulled mine off and painted them the same color as the trim. The hard part was cutting new adhesive to put them back on.
Here’s the exhaust tip. It looks really good and has held up nicely. note this is an XLT not Raptor.
