I was blessed that my father was a B52 bomber mechanic in the airforce and taught me everything. If you can change your oil you can do your diffs and transfer case. Basically a drain plug and a fill plug. Fill until it starts dripping out the fill hole. Ranger manual tells you what fluid type...
Ouch, I just did my 30k service myself which included all you listed plus front differential and transfer. Total was 265.00. Transmission pan drop was a pain but save big $$.
I would check diff levels when they finish. My rear diff was 1 qrt low
Thanks, he's no puppy but he is a 70lb baby! Wasn't sure how he would handle 3 days of driving to get out there, as this was his first trip, but he did great. Camping part he loved of course.
This March we drove from NC and did Moab, Valley of the God's, Shafer trail, Bryce canyon and Zion. We did remote overlanding camping for the entire trip. 3 weeks of perfect sunny days. 65 to 70 during days and 50 at night.
They are very hard core built. Had issues with delivery and boxes beat to death. Called and spoke to Support manager and they sent me a new set in 3 days.
Install wasn't to bad. I did it by myself and a floor jack and I'm no spring chicken. If you want a step don't get the 20° , get the 5°.
I figured out the problem. My battery was low and the battery saver was on causing it not to work. Once battery was charged it worked just fine. Both 12v outlets in the console and bed are constantly on.
Just tried to change the Powerpoint Feature to disabled to turn off the timeout session so the 12v plug in the bed would be on fulltime and now it has no power after key off? I previously had the Powerpoint time out increased to 1 hr and that worked perfect.
Can anyone that has tried this maybe...
I've got full skids and haven't noticed any trans temps being higher after installingthem. I pull my 3k overlanding trailer on most trips from east coast to west coast.
I just installed a PPE deep trans pan mainly because I wasn't a drain plug and the deep pans didn't cost much more than a...
I just installed the PPE Deep pan with new filter. Wasn't to bad just time consuming.
Question how much did you drain and then how much did you fill total?
I drained 5.5 maybe 6.0 quarts (spilled a little) and the pan said it holds an additional 1.75 quarts so I added 7.25 quarts. Was on level...
Mine came trashed also by FedEx. What did RCI do to help you? They only offered me 75.00 and told me to go buy some touchup paint. 😡
Last pic you can see where the FexEx person just dragged it on the driveway!
