I replaced my third brake light. It works great, looks great, and I love it. Because I'm a moron and can't leave well enough alone, I replaced the OEM silver screws with black ones that promptly rusted. They are spinning in the retainers and I can't remove them so I may need to drill them...
The installer told me it should last 3-4 years and then require reapplication (not as thorough as the original application). Too early to tell if that was accurate or not, but its still on there for now.
I got mine coated with NH Oil last summer. So far so good! Just make sure that you wait to apply it until you have done any underbody mods/upgrades/work since its nasty stuff and gets all over the place. Smelled some of it burning off for the first week or so, but nothing after that.
Chase rack mounted lights could work for this, or something mounted above the windshield (although only having two up there would look kind of goofy). A-pillar ditch lights are positioned exactly for this - wonder if you might be okay with the aesthetics of a smaller profile light like Morimoto...
I’ve been thinking through it more and I’m questioning whether the parking sensors are going to fit behind the fender flares. I am waiting on some parts so I can’t really measure or mock it up yet but the parking sensors might need more space - at least the way I was thinking of setting them...
Sounds like you've thought it through. Agree with you on lack of a side marker - probably low risk. Take a look at those Predator flares, since thats the closest I've seen to what you are looking for.
Im 85% sure the RVL flares (as well as all the husky and Rough Country) mount OVER the...
I have a 24 Ranger XLT with +25 wheels. I've been running mud flaps, but I'm going to try the Husky RVL Flares and see whether the added coverage lets me get away without the flaps (will add them back if needed). Looking for anyone with experience with these fender flares, install, wiring...
Couple of issues (if I understand your dilemma correctly):
1. I believe side markers are a US requirement, and removing them could lead to tickets, but maybe you don't care.
2. Aftermarket fender flares may require a secure attachment point at the front of the well and if you are cutting them...
Did you relocate the front parking sensor onto the new flare? How hard was that to do? I’m pretty set on getting these but seems like a bunch of nuance to consider between the parking sensors and the lights. Might not even bother with the rear markers.
A battery powered inflator that is as powerful and reliable as an arb twin (heck even an arb single) would be amazing but I can’t see that happening. I don’t think there is anything battery powered that is remotely close and while my experience with them is limited I can’t imagine using a...
So, I’m preparing to mount the compressor inside the bedwall, using the ausmotion bracket. The interesting thing is that I’m told that the ARB wiring spec (not their harness) has a max length of 150”. I’m not sure that length will reach from the battery to that mount location. Has anyone...
I bought the bracket from AusMotion and it fit up perfectly. Honestly haven't gotten around to mounting the compressor yet - but its on the to-do list for this summer.
You need to reinforce the bed wall to mount a compressor - hence the bracket inside the bed (the ARB bracket goes on the other...
