I just bought some door edge ppf tape (0.5") that Im going to run where the flare meets the body. I figure I can mark the edge of the flare with a grease pencil when I test fit and then apply the tape inside that mark so that its covered when the flare is installed. Thanks for the tip.
I have a bracket to install in the bedside, but the level of install difficulty (and servicability) in that location might not be worth the headache to me. Probably going to just hard mount it to my bulkhead molle panel. Still TBD where I locate the chuck (considering the power panel in the...
Im installing an ARB twin onboard compressor this weekend. Ive been using a portable inflator until now, but I use it enough (I air down often) so on board makes most sense for me.
My 24 XLT FX4 has outward facing sensors on the front of the front wheel arches. TBH Im not sure exactly what packages I have and I know I must have some package because not all of them have these sensors. Ive seen conflicting reports as to what these sensors actually do. Are they only active...
The ones I bought have a rubber or foam piece that goes between the body and the fender. Does yours have that? Hoping that prevents rubbing, but thats a useful pointer.
I assume your truck didn't have the fender mounted parking sensors? If it did, did you relocate them to the flares? I'm probably going to embark on this project this weekend (I do have the parking sensors and will have to relocate them). Ive got the Husky RVL flares and have been meaning to...
Im in the US, but I researched this and found there are some brands (Superior Engineering) making 4" lift kits in OZ. I think that 4" lift is the magic number for 35's. That kind of lift also includes a lot more than just the shocks, since its a big geometry adjustment. All of the common US...
If I understand your analysis correctly - I wonder what the difference would be between the full AFE CAI setup and the stock setup w AFE filter. Basically isolating the intake from the filter.
What offset wheels? Regardless, I've got to think 35s are going to rub. At the very least you are removing crash bars and trimming liners. Even 33s are tight with stock suspension and a level.
I have the same Ausmotion Compressor mount and am getting ready for the installation. Did you buy a harness extension kit, or did you make it yourself? Unless you have an Aux battery, that position is as long a run as possible on the truck from the battery to that mount position and Im not...
Im using the Garmin Powerswitch and I'm pretty happy with it. No physical switches - everything works through an app. You can control the app through the screen on the truck, or through a phone. You can add a physical switch if you want to. The interface looks pretty basic, but there is a...
I did 4 closer to the outsides of the grille. It kind of extends the drl visually. They are the f150leds and I tinted them so that they are “invisible” when they are off. There’s no right or wrong way…
I had one very similar to the Michelin (perhaps just a rebranded version) before the Bedrug. The edges in the Michelin are good and bad. They contain things but that just makes it harder to get them out when you want to clean it up. That also means that they contain water and it doesn’t drain...
I sold my takeoff Ranger wheels to a guy who wanted to put them on his older Tacoma. Offset worked (slightly more positive than stock, but fine), bolt pattern was the same, but they wouldn't clear his brakes (caveat - I wasn't there for the installation). What's that measurement called and how...
I got the same Impact mat and I really like it. It is foam, but the upward facing side of the foam has a more durable layer on it. Too early to prove out, but I think it should hold up pretty well. The protection for the bed is nice and it also protects things that are in my bed (surfboards...
