Yesterday, but...hit the truck with the power washer to try to get as much of the road salt and other junk they coat the roads with around here when it snows. Then finished wash and some Meguiar's hybrid ceramic before drying. Nieghbors must think I'm nuts as I lay out some cardboard and finish...
Long story short (which I detailed here https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/raptor-led-stealth-light-bar-installed.10507/page-3#post-245076 ) my Diode Dynamics light bar is too "deep" to fit where I would like to mount it, behind the grille on my 2024 Ranger Raptor. Would like to know your...
Just as a public service announcement: you can use this spot as long as your light bar is relatively "thin," from front to back. Mine, sadly, was not.
After seeing this thread, I was glad to see the no mod spot to mount a light bar behind the grille. So I grabbed my 30" Diode Dynamics bar and...
Only things I'd change; add the dual valve shocks, cooled seats, and the 5.0 V8!! I think the first two are almost certain; last one is just me dreaming out loud.
Wondering if having a mount welded to the front so that a winch could be stored in the bed and only used when needed so as not to block any cooling/intercooler airflow would be feasible? Was picturing being able to use something like this if/when I got myself stuck and then taking it off again...
I was doing another couple coats on the tow hooks and realized it was not an issue with the plastidip before, it was user error. In trying to minimize overspray, I was holding the can too close to the hook. Worked much better when I followed the directions on the can ?
I would say to call the shops that do vehicle wraps/graphics in general and ask about getting the design customized. Not sure what you thought of mine but adding some red as you mentioned earlier, with some vinyl you order in whatever size you want, is easy to do after the main graphic is...
Looks like a very clean install. I would love to have a winch on mine but everything that blocks airflow gives me pause. It doesn't appear that yours blocks much, seems to sit down where there was just skid plate previously.
Continued the orange accent theme with the tow hooks. Little weird experience as the "plastidip" that I used was very "thin" for lack of a better word. Rattle can application, which I had done before on a previous truck and worked terrifically, just didn't want to coat. I did four or five...
The vinyl graphic itself was a little thicker than others I've worked with, but not problematic as the install is relatively easy, no crazy bends or angles.
The only cut I made was the passenger side main graphic wasn't lining up quite where I wanted it near the cab. It was most likely me just...
Added bedside graphics from Yotto Overland. They were the typical black, gray, and white ones and look pretty much like the factory installs. I added some orange pinstriping to make it mine and to continue the orange theme that Ford started on the inside with the seats and around the vents.
