  1. Ultimate Raptor Challenge: F-150 R vs Ranger vs Bronco Raptor! [What tires are on the Ranger Raptor?]

I'm thinking the extra weight in the bed of the Ranger didn't help it in this sort of "contest." Sure looked like fun either way though, I just would have wanted longer courses for more play time.
  2. Has anyone looked into adding the graphics package on a Ranger Raptor?

I ordered from yotto overland, whatever the heck that is, for $179. I'll update once I get and install them, see what sort of quality.
  3. Anyone find the F/R weight distribution numbers for 2024 Ranger Raptor

That is what I was looking for; thanks fellas.
  4. Anyone find the F/R weight distribution numbers for 2024 Ranger Raptor

Front/Rear weight numbers seem like a standard stat in car reviews but haven't seen it in the spec sheet yet for the Ranger Raptor. Just out of curiosity as I'm dumbstruck every time I watch the Baja races and the trophy trucks get air and remain flat. I realize that a lot are mid engine and...
  5. Thinking of switching from Carbonized Gray Metallic to Cactus Gray. Thoughts?

Figured I'd necropost; the carbonized looks great when it's overcast, or snow covered.
  6. Driving Sports TV - Ford Ranger Raptor Snow Test Doesn't Go as Planned

Absolutely. I am going to find a way to do this. Long way from Jersey though.
  7. Size difference old Ranger vs. new

Looked out in the morning this weekend and saw this parked next to my Raptor. Had to walk over and check it out. It was a single cab with a longer bed but just the overall size difference was a little surprising.
  8. Driving Sports TV - Ford Ranger Raptor Snow Test Doesn't Go as Planned

Is there a video or page that has Ford Performance's description of what the modes are for and how each one is designed to be used? I found one that said Ford Middle East, but no Ford North America. Owner's manual is pretty explanatory but it would be interesting to see someone who...
  9. years worth of rust on day 6... what a bummer

I get that but it's just wrong to look under a brand new vehicle, where everything else is shiny and new, and see that. It hurts my eyes.
  10. years worth of rust on day 6... what a bummer

wondering if a good coating of fluid film would be a temporary, or even better than temporary, way to attack the rusty driveshaft. Here's mine, just a couple days old:
  11. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

Only "flaw" I've found so far was when I was washing the truck, leaned on the passenger side front fender and it moved a bit. Opened the hood to find a bolt missing. Pop disappeared into the garage and a few minutes later came out with a container of bolts. My first try was off but his was...
  12. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

Shame the Fox shocks are really not visible unless you're crawling around underneath:
  13. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

And appear to have the obligatory rusted driveshaft. Thinking maybe I'll sand it down and coat/spray with "Steelit"?
  14. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

Also did some crawling around underneath after quick wash off to try to get most of the snow/salt remnants from this week. Cleaned off the beautiful Fox shocks and checked out the crazy exhaust. Didn't do a very good job spraying off the road grime crap it appears:
  15. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

Big "mod" today, organizer tray for the center console:
  16. Fuel - Octane

I always thought the octane to be used was based primarily on the compression ratio of the particular engine. Our Ranger Rapter is 10.5:1 if I'm not mistaken which, to me, admittedly pretty old school, would want at least 91, probably be happier on 93.
  17. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

Went out last night after the roads got covered. It was a blast once I got the traction control switched off.
  18. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

I'm like a little kid, rooting for the snow to dump down and cover everything so I can go hooning around before the plows catch up.
  19. Wannabe Baja Racer RR

I drove it a bit today as I was off work and it was snowing a bit. Nothing stuck but still had a blast playing around with this truck. It's like trophy truck meets rally car. Buzzing around in sport mode, it blips the throttle on downshifts and just generally acts like it wants you to find...
