Unless I'm misunderstanding this except from the Ford site, since 2024 the 2.7 and 3.0 both have twin-scroll turbos...
"Ford revamped the Ranger’s engines last year to deliver better performance, improved fuel economy, and a more refined ride on any road surface. Options include a reliable 2.3L...
Unless you already have them, Harbor Freight (and others) have taller jack stands (6 ton), I've used a pair on my son's Doge 3500 and it's pretty tall. Also, I've built wood blocks to put under jack stands, out of 2x4s and 4x4s, for added height... works real well.
LOL... that quote from Ford ad came out decades ago, back when ford was struggling for equality I'm thinking.
Agreed on the new Tacomas and Tundras, wonder if related to that gimmicky electric motor they tacked onto the trans, to try and negate turbo lag and add extra ponies as well?
Just be careful which ones you get, not all use the same mounting points and the first ones I purchased from Amazon, not only didn't lift the hood up high enough (inexpensive carbon fiber looking struts), but also tended to "pop-off" of the mounting bracket it was firmly attached to. WTF! Went...
I wonder if it might be due to all the problems you see cropping up within this forum. Virtually very day somebody is having issues with something (usually electrical related), with their Raptor or Ranger. "This quit working, that stopped all of a sudden", whatever. Seems Ford's engineering...
I thought all Ford vehicles came with a "bumper to bumper" warranty, for the most part?
From Google... " Yes, a new Ford vehicle comes with a New Vehicle Limited Warranty, often referred to as a bumper-to-bumper warranty, for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. This warranty covers...
Just my opinion... don't start out with a lemon!
Who knows what else is wrong with it as well. Not only that, when the truck was built, it was built to a very specific assembly procedure, by trained employees who have one job and quality control overseeing everything (theoretically).
Now you've...
Yes, both have been enabled and double checked. Understand now that I have the latest version of SYNC 4 and that is likely the reason behind the center info-screen not allowing the modes to present themselves correctly... go figure! One more thing I will try... looks like there is limited room...
I know right, from Google search...
"No, the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor does not have an "Eco" mode. While the standard Ford Ranger offers an Eco mode to optimize fuel efficiency, this feature is not included in the Ranger Raptor, which prioritizes performance and off-road capability. The Raptor's...
Negative... No ECO mode, not even before the FORScan alterations.
Which I thought the Raptor would come with it as well... A Google search says not available on 2024 Raptor... Go figure!
Ok, ran this procedure, since I'm interested in whether ECO mode would give any better fuel mileage driving around town. Was meticulous in all changes you posted and checked them twice. On my US 2024 Raptor, this is the only change that showed up to Modes that I can tell, plus no ECO mode.
I...
Sounds like a lemon you shouldn't be responsible for... and how much wreckage is going on behind the scenes (panels, wire looms, etc.), with them tearing everything apart, replacing this and that. That's what I'd be afraid of, broken clips, everything not restored to its factory condition...
I can't believe a dealer or maintenance supervisor even let that travesty go out the door like that. That could bring them a horrid law suit if issues happened from braking (if so inclined). Apparently to one in charge bothered to look at the job after completion and before rattle can...
FYI... Make sure to clean the area well with something like Isopropyl Alcohol, to remove any wax or road grime and absolutely do not let your fingers touch the adhesive surface. Something like 30% adhesion is lost in the touched area, from the oil in your finger tips.
I chose on the Carbon...
LOL... good luck with that gimmicky electric motor stuck on the tranny, to try and improve mileage and reduce turbo lag, along with losing all of the under back seat storage area needed to house the battery for that motor. :-)
That is possible, but my thought before purchase was... as long and respected as Leer has been around, my bet was they did their job right. Like Toyota did with the Tonneau cover that came with my Tacoma... never leaked a drop that I could tell and so far have seen no evidence of the Leer...
LOL... I bought the Leer tri-fold Tonneau cover, it doesn't require drain tubes, as they engineered it better than a lot of the others on the market apparently.
