There are rubber bumpers you can screw in further to make it easier to close. It still takes a firm hand but certainly not a deal-breaker.

Livernois is a canned tune, I'm sure it's fine but you can get better for the same money. They helped develop the FP tune and from talking with them their tune is a hopped up version of that.
