I only lifted the cover mine, barely, enough to swap filters. Removing does seem like a PITA if needed.

Easy, I replaced mine when brand new with a BCM. You just have to undo the air flow sensor behind the airbox. I forgot to plug mine back in though and got a CEL.😂

I usually pick my audio source, usually Android Auto, before my drive then I can adjust volume and change stations/tracks from the wheel, nothing more I need that accessible.

If you look through FP tune threads you will see that many, and I just did, do all the leg work then go to a dealer or ASE mechanic and have them hit Programming and Performance tune then they can walk away. Which is why it is so dumb, I was just on the phone with FP and he confirmed that way...
