These seem like they should fit the Raptor right? I have the BLs with no need for them but for that price I might grab these and swap TPMS and tires over just for the weight savings.
I use the Noco Genius as well and they work for both Lithium and AGM battereries. We use them on our summer cars all winter and they have been great. Most tuning companies suggest a dedicated charger when tuning so I imagine that would be the case for updates and ForScan too.
Agreed on the tires, they are surprisingly quiet. An XLT with the 2.7 and no other options is $42k and there are definitely options you would want to add. I built a Lariat on the website and it is within $3-4k of a Raptor, in my opinion the Raptor is a great value.
S&B are in stock at many places now. I am ordering one with the dry filter, had one on my 3.5 F150 for 5 years and for the price they are great. I already did a drop in BMC but wanted to get some miles on my RR before diving in any deeper. Lots of opinions regarding filtration but how many...
The less cells the better flow. One of my cars had 700 cell stock and I boutght sport cats that are 200 cell, you can even get 50 or 100 cell. More cells equals less flow but if 500 for the RR works then I will be adding them.
I did all the pre-work for the tune myself then had the mechanic just hit the last couple buttons to load the tune. It is VIN-locked but reading through other posts I think it is wise to set up the Ford Performance login yourself.
I plan to go Livernois soon. I have FP already, which Livernois developed with them, and they include lifetime updates in the cost. I have seen their name on many Ford forums over the years.
I'll plug mine in and check it out. I bet you're right though, probably for the tuner itself. Since it also reads/clears codes it could have something to do with that as well.
Yesh, I had HPT for my F150 3.5, they are pretty easy and I've used a lot of tuners. I will wait awhile and get some miles on the truck, by then Goosetuned maay also have a Cobb option, he said that is coming but no ETA. He does a lot of his Raptor tuning with Cobb I was noticing on his site.
My truck is new and I just did the FP tune. While the trans is learning i have to be careful in sport mode as sometimes it downshifts so aggressively when slowing it will lunge forward and I need to pay attention to the braking. I assume that will improves as it learns, I am only a half tank...
