All vehicle brands will have issues at some point, specially new ones, the key is not waiting so long as they recommend for services, use quality products, preventive maintenance checks and services, another key factor.
I had it in the garage, made sure it was leveled, poured 5 qts and ran the engine for a few minutes, let it sit overnight, took my time adding tye next day and it took the .7 without being overfilled, as a matter of fact was below by smidget from the full mark. I think that it also depends on...
Engine Oil+Filter change done yesterday @ 1K miles, 5.7 qts, Penzoil ultra platinum, full synthetic, confirmed 22MM oil filter threads, removed from underneath as planned, easy removal with tool and by hand once is loose. Installed Fumoto drain valve. Planning for 5K miles interval going...
The 2.3 is really smooth, plenty of power, I haven't noticed any transmission issues. Actual mileage, 626, drove a 175 mile loop today, city and highway combined, got 28 MPG, I think that's really good, with Tonneau Cover. Will be changing oil and filter @1K miles.
From underneath the vehicle it's not too difficult to remove with an oil filter removal tool. Oil filters will tighten up after they're installed and using a removal tool makes it much easier. The 3/4" threads filters are no longer compatible with the new 2.3 ecoboost, 22MM threads are required...
The two front mats have the Ranger tabs, the rear mats don't. If you want to have the best mats and the best coverage, check out Tuxmats, they are awesome.
Dealers all over think that they can tell a customer anything but when someone checks them with facts, then they change their tune. If a customer order a vehicle right now, except Raptor and few others, they can lock in the discounted price and the dealer can honor the locked in discounted price...
Tim Bartz from Long from long MacArthur ford, he explains the process in detail, this guy is a Ford Guru. I reccomend to anyone planning on ordering a vehicle or learning how the ordering process works, to watch his videos. Their dealer in Salina Kansas also offers some real good deals.
There is a way to lock in the discount but some dealers will give you the run around and won't bother. There is actually a process that a dealer must follow to lock in the employee pricing discount price. Tim Bartz describes it in one of his videos.
Employee pricing is available until July 4th, a dealer can order a vehicle for a customer and lock in the discount until the vehicle arrives but it must be ordered before the offer ends.
After doing some more research, it seems the FL-910S filter with the 3/4" thread is not the correct filter for 2025 2.3l, apparently ford changed it to 22MM threads.
