They will release more trims with time. First jobs are usually limited in options in order to facilitate increased quality/minimize variance for learning.
They probably won't be out till right at launch, or after like the Colorado.
That said, I would expect the same as the previous gen, and 1 or 2 less for the 2.7L.
The factory bed-liner is sprayed over the paint with no prep work. I would avoid it like the plague, and get it done after delivery if that is an option you want.
I can open my rear doors at speed on my 2018 ford Taurus. Flicking on the child safety lock does fix this.
Is it really a common feature to not allow rear doors to open at speed? Outside of child safety locks, I have never heard/seen this.
Lane keeping , and automatic lane centering are different technologies. Are people getting them confused? Unless you have a package or top trim with AUTO Lane Centering, you have lane keeping.
Just wanted to mention it, just in case.
Yes, of course it has slightly more, it has 2 more cylinders even though they are smaller. What I was saying is the V6 has more moving parts to fail for minor power increases. As it is the 10r60 transmission taps out at 430ft/lbs.
It just isn't needed in a truck that size unless you are towing...
Priority codes don't matter outside of the dealer. If a dealer gets an allocation, and 2 vehicles fit the criteria, the lower priority will be taken first. Outside of that it is meaningless.
The 2.7 will be available for Job 2. However, Job 2 gets delayed with Job 1, so it will definitely be sometime next year.
I personally would only get the V6 if I was towing heavy (6,500lbs+) all of the time. The 2.3L has proven plenty capable, and reliable thus far.
That is an interesting take considering the Tacoma's most likely won't be out until sometime next year. As soon as the union issue is taken care of, the rangers would likely start production.
Again, we have no idea when the new Tacoma's will even start production...Toyota has given even less...
Ops, I should have watched the whole video. Definitely not enough HP/Torque gained for that price though.
Would be interesting to see some Dyno pulls to see when the stock setup becomes a restriction.
Most aftermarket airboxes are a gimmick, similar to "cold air intake". They are generally just a filter that filters less. The only way to increase airflow is a filter with more surface area, or a less dense filter that impedes the air less because it filters less.
There are some arguments to...
You can't even get the new tacomas yet, plus you can't order exactly what you want, you get whatever the factory sends. Also, Nissan is discontinuing the Titan in 2024, who knows how long the Frontier has left.
Those auto emails go out to people who are not scheduled yet. It is what it is.
Mine also got pushed back a week, which makes sense given the week delay. Hopefully that $1000 retail order rebate (if it even existed), also accounts for this.
It is just an auto generated email that goes out until you get scheduled. There really isn't much else to say, but at least it acknowledges your order is in the bank waiting to get scheduled.
It hasn't even been 3 months since the order banks opened up (May 26th). 12 weeks would be 8/26. 8/28 since 8/26 is a weekend.
This is also a brand new model requiring the lines to be retooled, and the union workers to learn the new crap. Seems reasonable to me.
