Supposedly the issue is with ABS system and software. Not sure if that is just a software fix, or if hardware is also required. It was tied in with the swap to a 10R60 from the 10R80.
The raptor won't see a ton more on the top end. It will be similar to the Braptor tune that is coming.
The biggest gains are in the curve, and low end.
Mine is just an XLT 4x4 with the Heated/power seats option, and advanced towing package. Once they start churning them out, it should be pretty quick.
Now that the strike is over, and the holiday breaks will be over soon, I am pretty confident in the timeline.
I ordered back on 5/26, the day of the order banks opening.
They are supposed to resume scheduling next week which means unscheduled orders get scheduled.
Mine was just pushed from 12/18/23 to 1/8/24, which is in line with what others have posted. They shut down for 1 or 2 weeks during Christmas, so I figured that would be the case anyhow.
I used to be stationed in Pensacola Florida, and Kingsville Texas. I am well aware of heat, but in a smaller cabin we never had issues. I could definitely see it in a full size truck with all the cabin space. Not trying to argue or anything. It was just my experience in medium vehicles.
Edit to...
Ranger is 22 combined. You must have looked at city...
And we shall see if the hybrid has a lot more mpg or not. Look at the Tundra, that is an example where they used hybrid for more power versus fuel economy.
This form is not the majority of buyers. Most will just buy off dealer lots. This isn't the maverick or bronco.
Everyone is acting like the other trucks haven't had delays. The only one without a delay currently is the Tacoma, and you can't even order those, plus the good ones aren't available...
The consequences of striking that long aren't resolved immediately when the strike ends. Lots of people in the chain were disrupted.
The 2.7l is still coming in job 2, that part has not yet changed. The cyber truck was also many years late...
My ranger XLT is still scheduled 12/18/23, and it was last "updated" last month after the strike. I have a feeling they will be shipping some in January.
From what I read the 2024 will not, but the next run 2025 should.
And Ford can't do much to dealers. The dealers have contracts, this is also why Ford is trying to split ICE vs Electric, and go around dealers.
Yes, but it doesn't change the message. People also complained when the 6G msrp increased over the 5g msrp (granted more was included as standard). Refer the my post above yours, and stop taking it as a bashing of union labor. Someone can complain about a price increase related to a union, and...
Why does someone saying bring on the price increases cause people to hone in on anti union. That statement in no way says that, and you are just making it fit what you want. I see this response to that same comment over and over. Grow up please.
The issue is, people are comparing the raptor to a road princess, which it is not. It is a baja truck first and foremost. It is incomparable to any regular truck mid or full size. The ecoboost is efficient when it needs to be, but in this case it is tuned for max power, and not max MPG.
Apples...
It says regular fuel even under the RR. Maybe they used regular. That would mean MPGs should go up with Premium fuel.
I am just happy that my loaded 4x4 XLT will get more fuel economy than my 2018 Taurus it is replacing. The 2.3L is pretty good considering it also has quite a bit more power as...
