That's one thing I would worry about if you planned to use it as a stopgap. They may not hold their value so well once the 6g is widely available. The 5g is an underrated truck though, so you might just be happy enough with it to not worry about resale value.

If you wanted to order an XLT with few/no options then your dealer may be at least close to the truth. I'm not sure how you being in Canada will impact your timeline, if at all.

From what I've seen here on the forums, it's not wise to dwell on your build date and how it jumps around. Just take having one as a good sign that the end is in sight.

I didn't consider that, but you're right. We have no way of knowing the # of new non-raptor orders and the # of customer cancellations. But at the least, we know there's a 1472 reduction in the non-raptor backlog planned. Which in my book is good news, the best we've heard in awhile.

Same here. When I ordered I naively thought I'd have it around now, Jan/Feb at worst. Now 1 year is my hope. Getting the product you asked for after a year really shouldn't be too much to ask. I won't be too bitter about it until they overshoot that.

For me, even though I'd appreciate the bigger bed, I just don't want a big truck. I'd also expect to pay more, and the RR is already well beyond the 50k budget I initially set for myself. Very nice truck though, I hope you enjoy it. 7000 miles is close enough to brand new in my book.

That's surprising. Like for example, I didn't think these guys would be using their RR allocation... but I haven't exactly called them so maybe I'm just making assumptions.

I haven't seen any ads, but this week I've seen a ton of news stories about the RR. Most of them without any new info, but certainly a coordinated effort to ramp up coverage.

I wouldn't worry too much. I've also had at least 90 days since my last 45 day message. I recently contacted my dealer to remove an option and my order is still in the system just fine. I do find it kind of funny that Ford can't seem to manage automating "we haven't forgotten you exist".

I'm right there with you. I spent a year looking at trucks, waiting to order my perfect 5G, waiting to order my perfect 6G, now waiting on the RR. If I settled now I think I'd feel a lot worse when I start seeing people get the truck I wanted than I would feel if I waited another whole year for it.
