Dang. That's an awesome offer. Kicking myself for never editing all the snowboard vids.
To do a good video, you'd almost need to do the install, take it out, and then video the 2nd attempt. Or have a good editor.
Cool. I'm surprised you got a full inch without the bottom part. I'm still debating what I want to do - leaning toward the full 2" lift. The front is so low.
What kit did you get? From what I can find, the Bronco RC 1" lift requires a top hat spacer as well as a new mount for the bottom of the strut. And the strut doesn't mount the same way as the RR.
Interested to see some options. The one kit on here looks great but I don't think I'll spend $200 on it. I got a box of various size body plugs on amazon and plugged quite a few holes in the bed. I do think if you really want to do it right, you need to take off the plastic cover on the top...
Am I being too tinfoil hat to think Ford is pulling a fast one on us? Sell them a tune for a great price with some warranty so we can avoid the REAL costs down the road from years 3 to 5. Not unreasonable to think a bean counter came up with this to save a buck and possibly lessen risk of...
Thanks. This is exactly how I interpret what I have read so far. I think I will still get the tune as at least there is some warranty and I don't drive the truck at anything approaching its limits.
What you wrote seems to be contradictory. Yes, the 5 years is still in place for non tune-related issues. However, it is deemed tune related, you may be SOL. Had you not installed the tune, anything in the powertrain should have been covered for the full 5 years. This sounds like the 5 year...
From everything I read so far, the 5 yr powertrain warranty is at least compromised with the tune. But if you run this tune for the first 3 years with 0 issues, how would it magically cause a powertrain issue in year 4 or 5, when it had proven to be safe for the first 3? Just a thought.
Changed the pressures in Forscan and the warning went away. I am guessing there is a TPMS reset procedure in there but didn't look too hard since I didn't need it.
I have the OneUp rack - see avatar pic. I have to lower it to the lowest position to open the tailgate. The hitch on my old truck was lower so I could open with it in the flat/carry position.
